Power Grid

Power Grid box cover art with a scientist turning a knob among several switches and dials on a door with wires and containers behind the door.

What better way to earn money than with electric power?!! But how should you do it? Will you use old-fashioned coal or oil? Nuclear power is tempting, as long as you can acquire uranium. However you decide to generate the energy, you’ll have to compete with your opponents not only for the most attractive power plants, but for the necessary resources and the sites to build your network of energy distribution. You’ll need to watch your opponents, manage your money, and expand your network to generate income. The player that is able to build the largest network AND successfully power it will be the winner.

The chart indicating Power grid requires 2-6 players, recommended player size for the best game time is 4-5, plays in 120 minutes, features Economic, industry and manufacturing themes, and offers auction, bidding, catch the leader, income, market, network, route building, and turn order: Stat-based Mechanics
