Introduction

This guide is intended for use in Dr. Luana Zellner's Qualitative Research Methods course (EDLD 7372) and contains some key databases and resources students may find useful for their coursework. Please see the boxes below to search a number of different resources directly.

Please note: This guide is not exhaustive and is only intended to help students get started in their research. Also, this guide was originally created for Dr. Zellner's Summer 2012 course at The Woodlands Center and although the guide should prove useful for other EDLD 7372 courses, this is not its original intention.

ERIC (Educational Resource Information Clearinghouse) This link opens in a new window ERIC (Education Resources Information Center): This comprehensive index covers all areas of education including scholarly research and practitioner information, from 1966 to the present. Indexes hundreds of thousands of citations covering research documents, journal articles, technical reports, program descriptions and evaluations, and curricular materials. Provides links to fulltext ERIC documents available on the EDRS website (about 80% of ERIC documents since 1993).

Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print Internacional This link opens in a new window Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print: (number of simultaneous users is limited) Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) contains information about and reviews of all English-language standardized tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas. Tests in Print (TIP) serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language, providing vital information such as test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, administration times, publication dates, and test authors. A score index identifies what is measured by each test. TIP also points to reviews published in the MMY.
Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) contains information about and reviews of all English-language standardized tests covering educational skills, personality, vocational aptitude, psychology, and related areas.
Pruebas Publicadas en Espaol provides extensive information on hundreds of tests published in Spanish.
Tests in Print (TIP) serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language, providing vital information on each test and pointing to reviews in the MMY.
