This guide is intended for CISE 4379, Differentiated Pedagogy, taught by Dr. Godwin. Below you will find some key databases and additional resources students may find useful for their coursework.
For additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. That's why I'm here! You can find me in person at SHSU - The Woodlands Center, or you can contact me via phone, e-mail, the chat box on the right, or even schedule an appointment to meet via Zoom.
Please note: This guide is not exhaustive and is only intended to help students get started in their research. Also, this guide was created for Fall 2020's CISE 4379 taught by Dr. Godwin. Although the guide may be useful for other similar courses, this is not its original intention.
You can see all of our Education databases by visiting our Education Databases page.
The library also holds our Instructional Materials Collection.
Below are some recommended databases to get you started:
You will be expected to utilize the APA citation styles as you complete your coursework. For introductory information and examples, please view our APA Citations guide.
If you need access to the full style guide, Newton Gresham Library and SHSU-The Woodlands Center have copies you can use. Also, the APA has published an APA Style Guide to Electronic References that is accessible online and provides pretty much all the information you need when citing electronic information.
Please note this information is for APA 6th edition. APA 7th edition is similar, but does include some notable changes. For a concise explanation of the major changes, please see this rundown from Purdue OWL.
Take advantage of our Interlibrary Services to get your hands on almost any article or book you need for your research, even if our library does not have access. As we deal with COVID-19 and library renovations, you can request Interlibrary Loan books or books from the main campus, and have them delivered directly to your home.
To request a book we do not own, a book from the main campus, or an article we do not own, simply log in to ILLiad using your SHSU credentials and fill out the appropriate form. Please be sure to verify your contact information and mailing address.
For more information, please visit our Interlibrary Loan page and COVID-19 Response page.
