Susan Strickland is a Research & Instruction Librarian; she serves as the library subject specialist for the departments of Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, and Sociology at Sam Houston State University. Before joining the library faculty at SHSU, she worked at Brazosport College in Lake Jackson, Texas and for Libraries Unlimited as associate editor of American Reference Books Annual. She holds a master of library science degree from Texas Woman’s University. In her free time she enjoys playing with her dog Oliver and exploring her family history.
Ms. Strickland's office is located in Newton Gresham Library, Room 223L.
