A Guide to Teaching with OER, OA, Open, & Free Materials

This guide is intended to assist faculty in identifying open and alternative textbook options for specific courses.

Recipients of a 2019 OER Course Redesign Grant from Reimagining the First Year (RFY)

  1. UNIV 1301 - Dr. Forrest Lane (Department of Educational Leadership, COE) and Heather Adair (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2019.
     
  2. UNIV 1301 - Dana Grant (Residence Life) and Heather Adair (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2019.
     
  3. UNIV 1301 - Dr. Autumn Smith-Herron (TRIES) and Stacy Johnson (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2019.
     
  4. PHIL 2302 - Dr. Glenn M. Sanford (Department of Psychology and Philosophy, CHSS) and Susan Strickland (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2019.
     
  5. HIST 1301 - Dr. Zachary Montz (Department of History, CHSS) and Erin Owens (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2019.
     
  6. MGMT 3330 - Dr. Carliss Miller (Department of Management, Marketing, and Information Systems, COBA) and Lisa Shen (NGL). Redesigned course launched Spring 2020.
     
  7. AGBU 3367 - Dr. Lawrence A. (Art) Wolfskill (Department of Agricultural Sciences, COSET) and Kat Landry-Mueller (NGL).  Redesign underway to launch 2021.
     
  8. MCOM 2366 - Dr. Grant Wiedenfeld (Department of Mass Communication, CAM) and Zach Valdes (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2019.
     
  9. BESL 2301 - Dr. Jill Pagels (The School of Teaching and Learning, COE) and Ashley Crane (NGL). Redesign underway to launch 2021.
     
  10. CRIJ 3351 - Dr. Mary Breaux (Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, COCJ) and Dianna Kim (NGL). Redesigned course launched Fall 2020.
     
  11. FACS 4373 - Dr. Valencia Browning-Keen (Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, COHS) and Lisa Connor (NGL). Course did not eventually launch.
