Digital Resources at SHSU

The objective of the Journal is to attract quality articles grounded in theoretical frameworks, empirical research, and/or practical experience. Case studies presented in the context of a theoretical framework are also published in the JBS. It is our vision to position the Journal as a relevant publication appealing to both practitioners and academicians within the business community.

The Journal of Instructional Techniques in Finance (JITF) is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal that publishes annually. The scope of the journal is on innovation and effective teaching techniques and tools for educators, especially techniques designed to enhance students' experiences in finance courses at the college level. The JITF seeks rigorous pedagogical research that can contribute to the enhancement of financial education.

The Journal of Multidisciplinary Graduate Research (JMGR) is an open-access, on-line publication of the College of Education at Sam Houston State University (SHSU). The journal is supported by the doctoral and master’s programs in the SHSU College of Education. The Journal of Multidisciplinary Graduate Research (JMGR) is designed to provide a venue for doctoral and master’s students to begin publishing research in a peer-reviewed, academic journal. JMGR aims to disseminate researched topics, promising practices, and theoretical perspectives of interest to scholars and practitioners in a variety of disciplines.

Founded in 2013, the Journal of Teacher Action Research is a peer-reviewed online journal indexed with EBSCO that seeks practical research that can be implemented in Pre-Kindergarten through Post-Secondary classrooms. The primary function of this journal is to provide classroom teachers, teacher educators, and researchers a means for sharing classroom practices. The journal accepts teacher action research articles that describe research-based classroom practices that positively impact student learning.

The Journal of Universality of Global Education Issues supports the collaborative approach to teaching and research while developing inclusive international educational opportunities for all.

The Measure: A Journal of Undergraduate Research, is a refereed journal dedicated to publishing undergraduate research from courses in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Sam Houston State University. Students enrolled in a CHSS course during the academic year are eligible to submit their work for publication consideration, whether or not they are majoring in one of the disciplines in the college. The Measure is guided by these central principles: undergraduate research is a vital component of higher education; students enhance their education when they engage in original research to make an intellectual contribution to the discipline; research shared with a broader audience enhances learning outcomes; and faculty members contribute to society when they involve undergraduates in research opportunities.

READ: An Online Journal for Literacy Educators is a peer-reviewed publication of the Department of Language, Literacy, and Special Populations (LLSP) at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. The READ journal constitutes a forum for research and issues related to literacy education. Submissions address an audience of teachers, teacher educators, and administrators.

The Southeast Business Research Association Journal (SEBRAJ) is published by the Southeast Business Research Association. The SEBRAJ provides publication opportunities for authors conducting basic, applied, or pedagogical scholarship in business and organization-related disciplines.

The Southeast Case Research Journal is the Peer-Reviewed Publication of the Southeast Case Research Association. The SECRJ publishes academic cases, case research articles, articles on case pedagogy primarily in fields related to Business, Education, and the Health Sciences.  The SECRJ is receptive to cases in other areas, such as engineering and technology, but currently lacks qualified reviewers in those areas. 

Student Affairs on Campus (SAoC) is a journal for scholar-practitioners in higher education and student affairs and provides relevant and thought-provoking publications from professionals, faculty, and graduate students.
