Approval Plan & State Discount Contract

Background: a subset of rules defined by publisher, recommendations (Choice Reviews, LJ Reviews, etc.), subject areas and format (exclude large print, study guides, etc.), YBP sends slips (aka "yellow slips") to Newton Gresham Library. Once received in the library, Technical Services Library Associate or a student worker divides the cards by their LC Call Number and puts them in the appropriate bibliographer's mailbox. Newton Gresham Library uses Baker Taylor as our primary vendor for print materials. A main reason is their contract with the State of Texas which provides for discounts. See the attached PDF for specific details.
