Family Kits

Our family kits contain developmentally appropriate toys, books, and games to entertain children who accompany parents to the library. Three kits recommended for different age ranges may be borrowed from the Service Desk on the 2nd floor. The photos and captions below illustrate the contents of each kit.

An SHSU ID, TexShare card, or Courtesy Card is needed to borrow a kit.

Policies for borrowing a kit:

Due ten minutes before closing the same day as checkout
In-building use only
$1 per hour late fine
No renewals
No reservations / first-come, first-served
$30 replacement charge for lost or incomplete kit
