There is also a carpeted child-friendly reading area with soft seating next to the Picture Book section.

- NonFiction / Informational Texts
Call Number Structure: LS ... followed by the Dewey subject classification (EX: LS 004 ...)
Informational titles follow the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), mirroring what a child would see in their school library, and are located between children's Fiction and Picture Books.

Picture books, both fictional and informational, reside in the two ranges (rows) of short shelving along the windows. The PB collection includes books suitable for lap-readers (including board books) through 2nd grade.
