Do a subject search for your topic and select "All Reference Locations" under the drop-down menu "Location Groups" so only Reference Books on the 2nd floor are put in the results list.
TIP: You can use the call number for books in Reference and search the same call numbers upstairs, where you can take books to bring home, because the books are grouped in similar areas.
Search a selection of print and electronic encyclopedias, dictionaries, and other Reference books.

Also, under "location" use the drop-down menu and select "Shelved by call number..." which makes sure the catalog searches for books you can check out. This excludes journals, magazines, reference books on the 2nd floor, e-books, and other online resources in the catalog.
