Development/Test Server

The Development server, also called the Test server, allows you to test or experiment with the data and features in Sirsi without affecting the data or features in the Production server which is where we do our day to day work.

Test Server sync date: 6/15/2021

(The Test Server was synced with the Production server around 6/16/2021 so the data in the test server is current as of that date and will remain that way until it is synced again which may not be until the next update.-TLO 5/20/2022)

Test Server Update to 3.6.1

Test Server Updated to 3.7.1 on 7/7/2021 (from 3.6.1 version). This included a patch for an issue our Sirsi admin had been concerned about for a problem in the 3.7.1 version that wasn't in the 3.7.0 version (which is the version to which we were originally going to update.)

**YOU MUST HAVE THE UPDATED WORKFLOWS TO LOG ON TO THE TEST SERVER. THE LIBRARY TECH STAFF USUALLY UPDATES EACH PERSON'S SIRSI CLIENT ON THEIR COMPUTER AFTER UPDATES, BEFORE STAFF CAN START USING SIRSI***

Use the following IP address in the configuration box on Workflows start-up. LnxLibSirsi01d

This may also appear as LnxLibSirsi01d:5100.

Also, add a checkmark in the box that says "Show this window on next startup". This will allow you to see the IP address information so that the next time you login to Sirsi, you can see if you are  logging into the Production server (lnxlibsirsi01 [no d]) or the Development server (lnxlibsirsi01d). (When logging in, switch from the Production server to the Development server and vice versa by adding or removing the d at the end of the IP address.)

Development Server login

Log in with the same credentials as the Production server.

To confirm that you are in the Development Server, at any time you can click on the Help button at the top right of the screen and select "Session Info..."  Look at the Server IP address. It should be 158.135.5.128 for the Development server.  (If it is 158.135.1.137, you are in the Production server.)

If you do not see this box when you start up Workflows, log in and go to Preferences (top toolbar) and select Configuration. Enter in the IP and Port and check "Show this window on next startup" (recommended).  Restart Workflows for the changes to go into effect.

Test Server OPAC: https://unicorn-dev.shsu.edu/ ***

To point to the test server from other sites, update urls to reflect unicorn-dev and leave the rest of the URL unaltered.
