Children & Young Adult Materials: Books & Reviews

Welcome to the Children & Young Adult Materials Research Guide!  Use this guide to search for and locate library materials intended for children and young adult audiences.  It doesn't stop at books!  You will be able find audio/visual materials, award lists, articles, and teacher-created materials to name a few.

Easily find Children & Young Adult Books, available at NGL, by searching the library's online catalog. You can use the search bar above or the Books & Ebooks tab on the NGL website.

Types of catalog searches & how to perform them.

Keyword	Enter your Keyword(s) into the search bar and click Search.  All book records containing that keyword should appear in a results list. To narrow the list to print titles available @ NGL, click Limit Search and change the location to Children and Young Adult 3rd Floor.
Author	Enter the Author's name (ex: Tamora Pierce or Pierce, Tamora) into the search bar, change the dropdown list to Author, and click Search.  Available books from that author should appear in the results list.
Title	Enter the Book's title into the search bar, change the dropdown list to Title, and click Search. It should take you directly to the book's record, if the NGL has a copy.
Subject	Enter 'juvenile literature' into the search bar, change the dropdown list to Subject, and click Search. All books with the subject of juvenile literature should appear in the results list.
Location	All children and young adult print materials should be located in the LS section. To narrow the list to print titles available @ NGL, click Limit Search and change the location to Children and Young Adult 3rd Floor.
