Biological Sciences Books

The purpose of this guide is to help you find books about various topics in the discipline of Biology available in the Library and on the Internet. This guide is not meant to be comprehensive. This guide serves merely as a starting point for researching the books available.

Newton Gresham Library's book collection is organized using the Library of Congress Classification System. Call Numbers A - L are located on the Fourth Floor, while Call Numbers P-Z are located on the Third Floor. Call numbers are read from top to bottom, and items are arranged by alphabetic and numeric order on the shelves. You will find items with similar subject material grouped together, but bear in mind some items may be located in other areas of the LCC System.

Q = Science

  • QH = Natural History, Biology
  • QK = Botany
  • QL = Zoology
  • QM = Human anatomy
  • QP = Physiology
  • QR = Microbiology

R = Medicine

S = Agriculture
