Civic Engagement Defined

Civic Engagement tends to be used as an umbrella term that includes a number of different, though related, topics.  Included in the literature are the topics of political engagement, political participation, community involvement, community engagement, citizenship, citizen responsibility, etc.


In the Library

You have access to a large amount of information about Civic Engagement through the Library. The resources include journal articles, books, e-books, and government documents.

Some resources address civic engagement generally, and others are more focused.

When you look at the Library's catalog, print material will have Holdings information. The call number and location will tell you where to look for the material in the Library.
