Put quotation marks around exact titles and exact phrases.

You will get better results by putting quotes around titles and phrases.

Trying to search for a specific author or title?

Go to Advanced Search, enter the title or author name, and then be sure to select the specific field to be searched (Author or Title).
Overwhelmed by your results? Focus on the Refine options on the left.

Example: Use Source Type to focus just on books or academic journal articles. Other useful options for limiting your search include date and subject.
Check the box for Scholarly (Peer-Reviewed) Journals when your assignment calls specifically for this type of research material.
