Photography Research Guide

In most lists of subject headings (including the list of departments at SHSU) Photography falls between Philosophy and Physics – which is just where it should be.  The Physics of the Photographic process gives rise to many philosophical questions. What follows is a guide for those beginning to research, and/or needing an introduction to, the Physics and Philosophy of Photography.

Before you begin any search, watch the Library Tutorials from the Newton Gresham Library (NGL). They are comprehensive and very informative.
