Dr. Craig Boudreaux

Craig Boudreaux, DO

Dr. Boudreaux is interested in sharing the clinical skills he acquired over 22 years with medical students.  He has a particular interest in community-based research exploring the impact that pooled community resources (food banks, nutritional counseling and fitness promotion) can have on population health to facilitate improved regional health outcomes in various disease states such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.  This should provide ample opportunity for student involvement in his research.

Dr. Courtney West

Courtney West, PhD

Senior Associate Dean, Educational Affairs

In her role at SHSU-COM, Dr. West is responsible for assessment and accreditation, faculty development and continuing medical education, and medical student affairs including academic support and learning resources. Her research interests include: learning and study strategies, instructional techniques, professional development, and team-based care.  Over the course of her career Dr. West has worked on grants, published more than 20 peer reviewed articles, and has presented over 60 peer reviewed presentations.
