TxLA Library Instruction Round Table (LIRT) Annual Summit 2021: Presenter Information

Proposals

Proposals are due August 16, 2021, at 8:00 am via this form. Virtual and in-person sessions will be accepted.

Any topics related to library and information literacy instruction in school, academic, public, and/or special libraries are welcome.  Library professionals as well as students currently enrolled in a graduate program in library and information sciences along with librarians in resident or intern programs are invited to submit proposals.  

Session formats are:

  • 50-minute Presentation
  • 20-minute Presentation
  • Poster Session

A committee will review all submissions and make a final selection in late August / early September, with acceptance or regret notifications sent no later than 30 days prior to the Summit.

Presenter Information

Registration & Travel: All presenters and co-presenters are required to register for Summit by the registration deadline. Each presenter is asked to provide an electronic copy of their handout and/or presentation before leaving Summit. These will be posted on the Summit website with all rights reserved to the author/creator.  

Virtual Presentations: Virtual Presentations will be via Zoom. Each virtual session will have a session moderator and access to breakout groups and chat. The moderator will be physically present in the Zoom room and able to participate in the session's interactive elements.  Training/orientation dates for presenters will be scheduled in advance of Summit.

Session Feedback: A short survey form will be created for each session and available for your attendees.  The Summit Committee will export the anonymous feedback and send it in an email to the session's primary presenter in November.
