As Clinical Assistant Professor, I joined the Sam Houston State University faculty in 2002. My responsibilities include all aspects of the music collection and dance collection in the Newton Gresham Library as the Music Librarian.

Prior to graduate school and employment at Sam Houston State University, I worked in the corporate and retail sector for Brass Bell Music (Milwaukee, WI), Thomson & Thomson, now known as Thomson CompuMark (Washington, DC), Garcia Consulting (Washington, DC), and Pitney Bowes Management Services (Washington, DC).

My current professional membership affiliations include the Music Library Association, International Trombone Association, National Band Association, Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Originally from Virginia, I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Minor in History from Old Dominion University (1991) and Master of Library and Information Science from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (2002). Additionally, I studied music at Virginia Commonwealth University, University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music and Boston Conservatory.
