Looking for Something?
Sometimes you are looking for a specific article but can't find it in the SHSU library's databases. Negotiations with Elsevier by the TLCUA coalition, of which SHSU is a member, may further impact availability of content from that publisher.
The following resources may assist you in locating full-text access to a specific article.
Alternate Ways to Access Articles
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
The SHSU library will seek to borrow your requested article, chapter, or book from another library. PDF scans are often delivered with 24-48 hours (physical books will take longer by mail).
Unpaywall Browser Plugin (Chrome / Firefox)
Unpaywall finds free, legal copies of peer-reviewed scholarly articles and pre-publication works, harvested from publisher, university, government, scholarly, and pre-print repositories.
Internet Archive Scholar
The Internet Archive preserves the content of websites as they appeared in months and years past. Their Scholar engine "includes over 25 million research articles and other scholarly documents preserved in the Internet Archive" spanning many disciplines and time periods.
