This guide is a one-stop shop for English 1301/1302 students - or any Bearkat - beginning their research process and becoming familiar with the Library's resources.
So, you've been assigned a lit-crit or analysis paper? Check out our English Databases for literary analysis, literary criticism, author biographies, etc. In addition to the primary literary databases, you may also want to search JSTOR and Project Muse at the bottom of the English database page.
Some professors assign scholarships as your research topic. If this applies to you - or if you're just interested in finding scholarship opportunities - visit the "Researching Scholarships" tab on the left.
In response to COVID-19, some library policies and hours have been adjusted. Visit our COVID-19 page for the most current information. (Oh, yes, we're also undergoing renovation!)
For university-level COVID-19 updates, visit SHSU's Restart 2020 page.
Be safe, Bearkats!
