Purpose
This guide should help you start researching in Drama and Theater.
Use the tabs above to find different kinds of sources. For more help, use the chat window on this page to ask questions. You may also contact the Drama Librarian for assistance.
This guide is not comprehensive; it does not list all of the resources in Drama and related disciplines owned by the Library or available on the Internet.
This guide serves as a starting point for research.
Playscripts Room 200
Playscripts are located in Room 200 in the Library.
As you enter the front of the Library, Room 200 is through the double-glass doors to the right. Once inside Room 200, the playscripts are shelved along the wall to the right.
Playscripts are acquired from various publishers, but the majority of the collection is purchased from Samuel French, Inc. and Dramatists Play Service. Play lists, sorted by authors and titles, are located near the playscripts as well as publisher's catalogs, which contain descriptions of many of the plays the Library owns.
Students may use the playscripts in the Library or they may check them out. Playscripts check out for three days and are due back by 4 P.M. on the third day.
